She's Gone

Locations in Valletta, Sliema and Mdina doubled for various parts of modern-day Istanbul in November 2003 for She’s Gone, a psychological thriller starring Ray Winstone (Cold Mountain) as Harry Sands, a father who flies to Turkey to search for his 18-year-old daughter, Olivia, after she goes missing during her gap year travels. Harry begins a nightmarish journey through a foreign land, where he must learn that the real battle is not against the people amongst whom his daughter has been working but against his own prejudices and his mounting paranoia.

Scheduled to be broadcast on the UK’s ITV1 terrestrial network later in 2004, She’s Gone co-stars Gary Lucy as Harry’s son, Michael. Lucy found fame as Kyle Pascoe in hit ITV series Footballer’s Wives and as Luke Morgan in three series of Channel 4’s Liverpool-set teen soap opera Hollyoaks. The drama is directed by Adrian Shergold, who made the acclaimed and controversial ITV drama The Second Coming (2003).
