Before the cast and crew of the epic feature film Troy arrived on Malta in 2003, the legend of the woman whose face “launched a thousand ships” had already been retold in this three-hour American mini-series, which filmed on the islands from July to November 2002.

An elaborate set representing Troy was built at Fort Ricasoli, and when Helen (Sienna Guillory) and Paris (Matthew Marsden) go spearfishing together they enjoy the crystal waters of the Blue Lagoon, Comino. The production also filmed at Selmun and Rdum id-Delli.
