Russell Crowe

Crowe won the Best Actor Oscar for his performance as Maximus in Gladiator, whose Colosseum scenes were shot on Malta. During filming in the spring of 1999, Crowe could often be found of an evening watching soccer matches at the Tex-Mex bar and grill on the Sliema seafront.
